• After the procedure the treated area may have minor swelling and stay swollen for a day or two.

• Apply the cream supplied with a clean cotton bud as needed, but not too frequently.

• Do not rub, scratch or pick the area during the healing process.

• Avoid getting the area wet for 48 hours (apply cream to act as a barrier against water when you shower) avoid makeup on the area for a few days.

• Avoid swimming and excessive water for at least a week.

• Avoid any excessive exercise that will involve sweating, for 7 days.

• Avoid sun exposure and tanning for at least 4 weeks after treatment.

• Avoid facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and any products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA and exfoliants) for at least 7 days.

• Lip treatments - avoid spicy and salty food, smoking and alcohol for 48 hours and drink through a straw whilst lips are still numb from treatment to avoid scalds.

• Please expect the treated area to be a little tender for the first few days. Also be aware that initially the area will appear darker for the first week but will gradually lighten over a period of 1-3 weeks, the true colour and how much pigment is remaining will be seen after 5-6 weeks just in time for your top up appointment, this will then help you to decide on any changes or touch ups required at your appointment, please try to remember that some skin holds pigments better than others.

Marble Surface

What is permanent makeup?

Sometimes referred to as micropigmentation or cosmetic tattooing, the procedure is performed by injecting tiny amounts of hypoallergenic pigment into the dermal layers of your skin. Permanent makeup is a treatment that can give you a ready-made up look without all the hassle or be used to correct shape and add to missing areas.

How long will permanent makeup last?

Permanent makeup lasting times are dependant on the treatment being performed and the persons skin type. Most procedures last between 2-5 years and gradually start to fade, which is why we recommend 12-18 months booster appointments, to keep your makeup looking at its best.

How many procedures will I need?

The procedure involves two sessions performed about 4- 6 weeks apart, so please make sure you have availability for 2nd appointment also when booking. The 2nd session is a perfecting session to check you are happy with everything and make any further adjustments, colour can be darkened etc too on this session, this is all included in the initial price. however occasionally some people require a 3rd session which if so would carry a small charge.

Does it hurt?

Everybody's pain threshold differs, however most of my clients say they don't really feel much and find it relaxing. I pride myself however in making my clients feel as comfortable as possible throughout treatment, so will be constantly checking and applying numbing solution as required.

How long does procedure take?

My advice is to allow 2-3 hours for your appointment, which gives us plenty of time to perfect the drawing and colour match. Top ups however will be about an hour.

Do I need a patch test?

Yes you will need to have carried out a patch test at least 48 hours prior to you appointment. Patch tests with easy to follow instructions can also be sent out to you in the post.

What happens at my appointment?

Firstly I will welcome you and make you feel at ease by chatting through what look you would like to achieve, pictures are helpful to bring as is coming with makeup already done or bringing your favourite colour lipstick with you. I will explain every step of the procedure whilst I take my time to pre-draw your brow design or lips, colours will be explained and matched perfectly to your skin tone and requirements. The procedure will not begin until we are both 100% happy with everything, sometimes this is the longest bit, but also however I think the most important. Numbing will be applied as needed and then its time for you to relax and look forward to seeing your new permanent makeup.
